Please read what Torry posted above. It lays it out pretty clearly your cost. If you're on this list the use of the track is free. If you want your friends included, get me their names quickly, as I have to submit the list to Carlisle Wednesday evening. The track is going to alternate between autocross and drift. I hope to have Carlisle's final schedule today. I will post it when I get it.

vtectyper wrote:i love this event you guys set up at the carlisle show, but i think you guys should work with the fairground staff about letting us in free with our cars or a minimum fee. last year i signed up and checkout the track before i brought in my car, it looked fun so i went out and got my car, brought it back and was charged $50 for my car on top of the $20 entry fee that i paided earlier in the day . then i came back sunday and they wanted to charge me again! haha i snuck in though with my car. i appreciate you guys setting this up, but just a note maybe for next year or possibly this year if you can work with the fairground office that since were just here to drive our cars we shouldnt have to pay that much or anything.
We do work with Carlisle staff. Last year, evidently you were a walk-in. And if we tried to charge you on the second day, I'm guessing you took off your wristband after the first day, which is the only proof you were signed up.

If you sign up here in advance, it's free, but walkin's are subject to a fee. Our rules (published on the first page of this thread) are the same as last year.

You're on this list this time, so you're good to go.

i signed up online here, i meant the fairgrounds charged me $50 to bring my car in after i already paid admission for myself. Yo guys didnt charge me anything cuz i already sign up ahead of time. Then sunday of course i understand i would have to pay admission again, but also for my car which i thought was crazy. i donno im just say'n that i think fairgrounds are ripp'n us off and also the dyno guys cuz they have to pay to bring their car onto the fairgrounds to dyno it for 10mins and then pay $80 for that.

i'll be there though, fo sho haha, it was a lot of fun last year.

His name is Sean Lesh.

Also I might end up being busy juggling my car trying to get it towed down the same weekend. If I'm not there right at 8 when the gates open I might show up later in the day since I'm probably busy dropping off my car at the car shop for the engine swap.

The broomstick rule only applies to convertibles. Since your car is a hardtop, your cage if fine.

We'll be closing registration on this thread as of 7pm eastern time tonight (Thursday). the final list will be submitted to Carlisle tonight. missing the deadline here does not mean you can still join us at Carlisle. It just means there will probably be an additional charge to run on the track.

Thanks everyone! See you all there Saturday!

It's your preference, but if you pay Carlisle in advance, you avoid a potentially long line to get into the fairgrounds.

What are you trying to pay for? To get into the fairgrounds its $50 to drive in or $20 to park outside. You have to pay that to Cars at Carlisle, not NICO.

To autoX/drift, just have Joel put your name on the list and it's no extra charge. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.

I thought it was 10 dollars to get into the pits and spectate, and I thought that was it. now there's a 50 dollar charge?
