Put down "Butters08" He's bringing A RHD S14 and FC turbo vert.

May I ask what are the requirements for running a vert at the track. Before you say it, we have a 10 pt. cage already.

Also I will be down for helping out like I did last year.

Requirements for running a convertible are you must have a cage that meets SCCA or NASA requirements or better.

Correct. We also apply the "broomstick"rule just for convertibles. That is, there has to be a 1-2" min gap between the top of your helmet and the bottom edge of the top crossbar. That's pretty standard for most track events. A 10 pt cage? Sounds pretty serious.

Oh for others that may ask, the hoop bars that come standard on such cars as an Audi TT or Mercedes are not acceptable as roll bars.

We really appreciate your helpin' out again, it's gonna be busy. And Butters08 is now on the list too. Thanks.

For those who missed it:

Aw Phuck!

I screwed up guys, I had a cruise booked with my brother for that weekend and didn't even realize it until recently- and I even made the reservation at the hotel!

Anyway, one more room opened up for that weekend, so grab is asap!

Also- someone grab Greg a sixer of Sam Adam's Hefenweizen for me and I'll pay you back. Gotta come through on my word.

Assuming I drive out with a van/trailer like I'm planing on, I will be bringing beer from NJ since it's marginally cheaper here. You ONLY want a six pack? I'll try and remember this... lol

Fun days at sea = drunk days at sea.

I'll be coming out with my untrackable vert as part of DevilMB's pit crew! I'm hoping to get a few autox laps in with his 240.

I'll be driving from Scranton PA down, following I80 most of the way. If anyone has a convoy set up along this route, let me know. Also, does anyone want to buy some stock wheels w/ tires? I got a basement full of em, I'd love to drag a couple out to make some coin.

I will probably also be doing corner work for the drifting events.

Got you down. As far as on-site camping. Carlisle Fairgrounds allows it for certain events, but not this one. If you post on the hotel thread, perhaps someone will let you crash on their floor. There are going to a bunch of people renting rooms there that weekend.

He WILL be getting a couple laps. He's just got to remind me to get out of the car...

And we'll figure all that stuff out just before the weekend,

Absolutely, we welcome your help in any area. And there's no pressure to run your car on the track even if you've signed up.

Hmm, just to clarify. the "Paid admission" is the $25 general spectator admission? or the $50 NICO group admission??

I've been wondering that too. I'd think general admission can't park withthe rest of NICO or anywhere on the showfield I'd think.

It's my understanding that the ~$20 fee is the spectator fee. It is ~$50 to park on the showfield were you get into the track.

It is ~$10 for pit crew members also, plus the fee to get into the event.

It's $25 to get into the venue as a spectator. If you wish you to drive in, it's $50 and you will automatically be entered in the "show." However, most people just pay $50 so they can drive in and don't really care about the show.

The $10 for pit crew members will be charged at our discretion. This is basically to prevent the problem we had last year of one person running their car and claiming they had 20 friends who were helping them out in the pits. It was just getting too crowded.

If you have a full blown track car, we expect you to have some pit help and we'll wave the fee. But if you are just autoXing, you don't need 20 people helping you check your tire pressure.

Well said.

Here's the link to Carlisle's website for registration. Carlisle recommends you get registered/pay in advance as the lines to purchase tickets can get long if you do it when you arrive.

http://store.carlisleevents.co...CPASG

You can also register with them by mail. phone, fax. They're pretty flexible.
