Hi Folks,I'm new to the forum & seriously considering purchase of a new M35x. Does anyone know when can we might see the 2009 M35 in Infinity showrooms? Also, are any changes anticipated for the 2009 model? Thanks for your help!

It's probably not likely that Infiniti will revise the 09. Most cycles for body styles last around 5-6 years and given that the '08 received an "update" with new front facia and rear-end styling, those changes will most likely carryover to 2009. You may see new color choices, interior options/colors and/or wheel designs at best. This is not fact, but it is based off of historical Nissan/Infiniti practices. Not sure when you'll see 2009 models on the floor, but it might be around Sept/Oct.

Good luck.

No M37? How sad!

You would think Infiniti would have employed the upgraded V6 for the heavier car. But then, no FX37 either. One must go to Europe for the G37 sedan.

Sad that they did not release an M37!

But, an M50 might make up for that loss perfectly.

According to Car and Driver, the changes will be thus:

Quote »The larger M35 sedan gets the latest version of Nissan’s 3.5-liter V-6 and as a result gains about 25 horsepower. Rear-drive M35s get a new seven-speed automatic transmission; all-wheel-drive models soldier on with the five-speed automatic. [/quote] http://www.caranddriver.com/re..._news

still feel cheated with only the 3.5L version, they should at least add the 3.7L cheap infiniti.

Hopefully we get the 5.0Liter in it soon with 400+ hp XD, too bad they always add the improvements into the FX/G before the M. Can't really blame them as those cars probably generate the most revenue. One thing i really appreciate about the European cars like BMW is all their cars get love, and you get a huge selection of engines, where as Japaneses usually force you with one. Acura is the worst, entire line up basically has one engine type of each car and that's it.

Wow 09 M35 AWD only gets same 5 speed, but RWD gets 7 speed ><. The AWD needs it more than the RWD version!.

Mercedes does the same thing with the 4Matic models in its E-Class, so I'm guessing there must be some technical reason.

It'd be nice to see the VIP options, as on the Fuga. Specifically, the passenger fold-out footrest and the extra cameras on the mirros & front bumper
