2008 Altima Coupe electronic display problem

I have an issue with the display unit (just left of the odometer display) turning on/off for no particular reason. Display starts to dim, then goes blank for several weeks (1000 miles) then will turn back on for months. This has been repeating since I bought the car (Oct 2007); seemed to be insignificant at the time to bring in for repair.. anyone else noticed this ??

Haven't had that problem. The next time that happens, bring it to the dealership, it's should still be under warranty.

I am having the same problem and I take it in to the dealer Friday morning. I will update what it could be when they let me know.

Do you have a grounding kit?

First I've heard of the issue. Take it on in to the dealership and see if they can duplicate the problem. Let us know how it turns out.

my display unit would dim all the time...took it to the dealer when it was dim and showed them. they replaced it and it is under warranty. they had to keep the car a few days though because of ordering the part and not wanting more miles on the odometer.

That's BS. The odometer data is not kept in the gauge cluster.

they told me since they had to replace the whole cluster and send the old one back i couldnt put any miles on it. its fixed so im good
