2007 6MT gear shift removal

Hi. New to club. Have just purchased 07 G35S (6MT); looking to buy and install KUDA mounting base for my ipod (see web site - should be available available for 07 G35 this Saturday). Question - how to remove the gear shift knob to get access to screws etc to dismantle center console. Is it a screw, clip, or what? Can't seem to find instructions/pics in any other thread
