I am need of new brakes on my 05 frontier and would love to put a brake kit on it. I look around on the web but I just found some AP racing kits that were 1900 bucks. any help would be cool....Also, I am new on here and trying it for the first tme but I know of the Nico club from Nopi in Atlanta. Oh yeah thanks for the trophy I have it on display and it gave me some good bragging rights to all my friends..

I just did the front brakes on my 05 Frontier and noticed on the Caliber it is stamped Z33, Hmmm! yes z33 as in the 350Z. therefore i wonder if the brembo kit off the 350Z will boilt on?? I BET IT WILL!! might be a wheel clearance problem tho.

It's a possibility, but there are some factors that should be looked at here. The early Z33 models used a .95" think rotor while the new Frontier spec sheet indicates it has a 1.1" thick rotor. Of course, the caliper may still bolt on. Even if it does, the rotors could be an issue. Any kit designed for the 350Z are going to have a 5 lug pattern and a hub center bore size matched to the Z. It is possible if the hub bore on the Frontier is larger, then a machine shop can modify the rotors to fit. If it is smaller though, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable bolting it on as the rotors and wheels on Nissans are hub-centered, not lug-centered. Trying to rely on the lugs to center the rotors may cause vibration if it can't center correctly.

That said, if the hub bore for the rotor has to be modified, perhaps one can look to see if a set of brakes off a Titan might fit. I'm not sure if Nissan changed the hub bore size on the latest Frontier, but the previous generation Frontier had a larger bore size than the Titan according to my GF's uncle. He had to have the bore machined to fit Titan wheels on his Frontier. Older Titan brakes would bump you up to 12.6" and if you can source some 08 Titan brakes, you'ld be up to 13.8". Of course wheel fitment may be a big concern with the latter.
