First post...be nice please :-)

I've got a 2004 Xterra being fitted with a remote tubo kit by a top notch nissan tuner local shop. Tuning is a problem with the 00's to 04's

2004 VG33e
JWT - S1 BILLET CAMS VG30/33E .440"/260
Thorley Headers
(being installed) T3/T4 turbo...plan to keep it under 10psi and run a small intercooler per shops recomendations.

Goal: Pull a small trailer (2000lb, anti-sway bar & load balancing hitch).
Why: Xterra is paid for, good shape low miles. I SHOULD just buy a bigger truck, but I don't want the payment.

I've done some research but i'm still looking for tuning options. I'm not looking for every 1/4 hp. Just looking to get it enough fuel to avoid a meltdown.

I'd appreciate any constructive ideas about either how to add some fuel to this beastie or how to tune it. I've read that this is a fragile ECU, that most who have tried to flash it, destroy it :-)

just my opinion, try a FMU,(Fuel Management Unit). not the most precise way to tune, but it will keep your motor from detonating. It works off of boost, for every psi of boost it sees, the fmu puts more fuel in. youll definetly need a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge.Like I said not the most pricise way to do it, but i used one years ago on a civic i turboed, worked great till i could a real standalone. Otherwise you can get a SAFC with a wideband, or spend 1500.00 on a true standalone.
