I have a 2004 Infiniti q45 but my inlet tube that comes from intake and connects to filter. Can I put an after market filter and if so which one?

Cracking is pretty common on that tube. If it's no longer available from Nissan, they make large heat shrink tubing that might be an option to seal it. An aftermarket filter would usually sit at the end of the tube, so the crack would still be an issue.

Came here today search for a solution to this same crack. I think it's been cracked for multiple years and has been the cause of some sluggish responses. I only found it two weeks ago, after replacing the brakes of all things. I can find it from Infiniti for a low as $425. Thinking about using some RTV black gasket maker I have to try and fix it. What did you end up doing to fix it?
