I have a 2003 G35 Coupe and my rev limiter is kicking it and cutting fuel between 5,000rpm and 5,500rpm instead of around 6,700rpm or so like it should be. I'm not sure if it's froma faulty camshaft or crankshaft sensor, if he tachometer simply isn't working right or if there's another issue altogether. So my question is how fast should the car be going in 1st and 2nd gear when the rev limiter cuts the fuel off? My speedometer reads aprox. 58/59 mph when the fuel get cut in 2nd gear, which for 2nd gear seems roughl right for most cars. I've searched around but most things only list a speed for redline, but I need the speed for the rev limiter cutting off fuel since my tach appears to be kicking in 1-1,500rpm early. If anyone could help me, that'd be great so I can furher narrow down my problem.
