2003 G35 Sedan radio questions

This is my first posting I have a 2003 G35 production date 04/02. The CD changer quit working and i have been desperate to find an answer, i called salvage yards and 3 dealers. I want to replace the radio/ CD changer with one that has the (SAT) button so i can plug my IPOD in or hook Satalite up... The radio that is in it is the early model, with AM FM Tape and CD button and i have Navigation, My question is- can i put a newer model G35 stereo in that does have the SAT button? and is there differences in wiring? the dealer told me no i cant put a newer radio in, but i have a plug on the back were it looks like a SAT plug, but i dont have a SAT button any suggestions thanks and this site is great!!!!
