Hello all.
My 2002 sentra started to stall out with warmer weather . I was driving home it stalled in traffic i lifted the hood looked around started to call for a ride after about 10 mins but tried the key and it started right up. next time it happened same thing . happened again and I noticed fuel was low thought pump may have over heated filled car up . happened again next day. stranded twice this time. wait 30 to 40 mins. and car starts . have noticed cool down time to be less with hood up . So now I think crank sensor may be failing . Does anyone know if this guess is any where near correct. if not what could be causing this . Thanks For your help Jeff

Yes the CPS could be failing and also check your coolant temp sensor.

Had the same problem on my 02. Would stall in the middle of traffic have to pull off the side of road and would restart after a while and wouldn't show up for weeks. There was a crank position switch recall probably a couple years back. Once they swapped out the CPS the car has been perfect. You should be able to call your local dealer and run your VIN passed them to see if it was part of the recall.
