Trying to cheer myself up by doing a little dress-up work on the Frontier. Most of you know I added Cragar Soft 8's with BFG 31*10.5R15 tires, deleted the step rails and removed the intake resonators. This week I added a bug shield by AVS and a pair of oversize AVS vent visors via realtruck.com. I like the look. I still have a fews more things to add to complete the look I want including a roll bar in the bed...now called a light bar thanks to bored lawyers but I grew up in the days of Bigfoot 1 and 2 so it's still called a roll-bar in my world. I also plan to remove the rear bumper and install the factory roll pan just like on my green truck. I need to get a tool box, one that bolts to the floor of the bed and fits between the inner fenders. Finally I have an old Lund sunvisor off a hardbody that I need to paint so I can get that on too.

A pic of how the truck looks today.

I think its going to look sharp with that visor installed. Like what you've done with it. A good compliment to your hardbody.

Man I love the looks of the Soft 8's. I've been thinking and thinking about getting these but I was never sure til I saw these on your truck. I'm ordering some for sure now!! What is your offset on the wheels? I mean, not that I'm trying to copy your look but...I am. haha

Nice! I haven't measured the offset so I don't have a good answer for you. Next time I have the wheels off to do a brake clean I'll check.

Just a bit of freshening up. I am going to bedliner the flares.

Here's a really bad rendering of the plan. I already have one side primered waiting for a dry day to bedline.

Unless the previous owner raised it I would say it's stock height. I personally haven't changed that yet.

Well from the looks of it, they either changed the stock ride height for the 01 and up facelift or the previous owner did something because my truck had a smidgen of rub with 30x9.5-15's and your running 31's with no problem. The only difference I do see is that your truck has no mud flaps up front where mine does and that seemed to be where the rubbing was. Weird.

I have the front flaps back on now. I had to do some trimming on the right side to stop the rubbing.

I have a 2004 Frontier Crew Cab XE and I am looking to put Cragar Soft 8 on my truck like you have. I wondered if you needed a spacer or if they cleared your brake caliper? I also wondered what size of rims you have on your truck? It really looks good I appreciate your help. Thanks

I didn't space them though a centering ring could have helped my setup and they easily cleared the brake calipers. 15x8 I believe but I never measured the back spacing. I did rub muflap when turning while backing up but a few cuts to the mudflaps cleaned up that problem. Tire size was 31x10.5x15. I recently traded the truck though.
