I recently installed a boost gauge on my supercharged frontier. I wasn't too sure about where to tap into boost/vac source but I thought I had found one. The gauge read vac and boosted to about 5-6 psi on my way to work.

After work though, I couldn't get the damn thing to boost past 2-3psi and on top off that its off zero. Sounds like the gauge broke but I'm not convinced that's the case. Maybe the car got thrown into a safe mode of sorts (possible leak or such).

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Best place for tapping vacuum is after the throttle butterfly plate.

I need a visual, you got any pics of how you tapped for boost?

I went with the Lotek Inc. gauge pod (2pod pillar).

I also found that its got a bad knock sensor which is limiting my boost.

Bringing up the dead, What did the gauge read once you got everything fixed?
Is 6psi the stock boost for the vg33er?
I'll be adding this SC to a ~10:1 engine so I'd like to know if I need to turn it down or not. (6 should be safe)
I like to tee vacuum/boost gauges with the Fuel Pressure Regulator because it uses real time boost/vac feedback to vary the fuel pressure.
