Hello Everyone,

I am Bijit and I've just joined this forum.

I'll go straight to the point.

My 2001 Nissan Sentra XE is showing an error code P0424-Heated Catalyst Temperature Below Threshold (Bank1).

I had got the fuel pump and a sensor replaced, but, the "Service Engine Light" stayed on.

A local mechanic told me it could be just a faulty sensor, but, he wasnt absolutely sure about it.

My concern is ---- is it just a sensor or do I have a bigger fish to fry??

Why was your fuel pump replaced?

Do you know what sensor was replaced?

You have a bad ECU thanks to the foam insulation issue (which Nissan will fix for free), you have a bad sensor, or a bad cat.
