So, my Max will sometimes make a weird whining noise while I drive it that changes in tone with the RPMs. The car runs fine except for that noise. When I park it, there is about a 50% chance that as soon as I turn the key off, the car will completely lose power after a couple minutes. The car will stop running when I turn it off, I will lock the doors and when I come back 5 minutes later and turn the key back to Acc or On or try to start, there is no juice at all as if the battery is completely disconnected. The courtesy lights don't come on when I open the doors...nothing. If I wait some time after the car has been this way (I always give it an hour or so), I can unlock the doors, get in and the car has power and I can turn it on. The whining noise that I first mentioned has been a consistent indicator that when I turn the car off, the problem will rear its head. If I pop the hood and jiggle the positive battery cable, the car will have power and I can turn it on. My guess is that a cable or fuse is loose on the positive cable and somehow causes the whining and the no-power condition. Anyone have any input? I have cleaned the terminals on the battery and the connectors but I think that it is something that connects to that plastic housing with the fuse in it. I can push that toward the battery post when there is no start and power is back. Is it that connection or does my moving that part affect something else? Thanks for the help guys!
