2001 infiniti G20 engine problem

I have a 2001 infiniti g20. about 2 weeks ago my start startedto studder on me. as i am sitting at a stoplight, the engine starts to studder. it actually died on me once. Does anybody know what the problem is so i can get it fixed? i took it to a mechanic but he doesnt know wats wrong with it. if you know wat is wrong please email me at [email protected] thanks

It is hard to diagnosis the problem based on that description. It could be a number of possibilities. Without more information we could play the guessing game all day. How many miles on the car? Manual or automatic transmission? Normal maintenance been done on the car recently? I see you are in Louisville, I could take a look at it sometime.
