"Left Bank Lean"

Where to start? O2 sensors for that bank? And by "left" is that driver side? O2 sensors easily replaced by average-skilled Joe Blow at home?

Thanx,Larry

O2's are easily replaceable in your garage. I have replaced mine - A LOT. Once one O2 goes out, the others shortly follow. IF you have the budget it's best to replace them all at once just from my experience. But there is no damage if you don't. I am surprised you didn't throw a code for a knock sensor as well. Usually it's a combination.

To replace the O2 yourself just go to Autozone and buy an O2 sensor socket, that'll take it right off. The O2 sensors from the dealer are color coded. Just pop your hood, find the O2's wire casing connected in front of your engine. They should have a gray housing with a black taped or covered line. Under that line they will be color coded red, yellow, etc... when you buy the right O2 (get the right part number for the code you threw) just replace it with the right color and you will know where it goes by following that line under the car onto your exhaust system. There is one O2 that is a real pain to get to but I found that using a short and long extension combo on my ratchet got it out fastest.

Here is a link to a diagram for you. I would tell you where your O2's are but I am not sure if you have a cali or federal spec max.

Hope that helps.
