Well, I got all my intercooler piping done, as well as the wiring, fuel lines, vacuum lines, and other misc things. Here's an updated pic!

that hot pipe would be about 6 inches shorter and have less turns if the rubo was clocked downward. it would also look alot cleaner. but over all great bay. looks clean just need to get those wires and hoses taken care off

If I clocked it downward, I'd have to relocate the PS reservoir. Also, I'd have to have a sharp 90 coming off the turbo itself, instead of the 45 I have off of it now. It may not look the greatest, but I'm happy with it, lol.

I'm eventually going to do my own turbo manifold, as there are some flaws in the full-race one (like it does not have equal length runners), and I will clean up the piping then. I will also probably do a V setup with the intercooler and radiator at that time as well.

awe yes i didnt think about that. i am use to my car not having power steering. there is a reason the runner arnt equal length that way the pulses are different and that is in affect what a twin scroll does. divides the pulses

Well, all the pure race manifolds that I've seen are all equal length runner styles. I haven't applied any theory's to it yet, but I will as soon as I take a few classes coming up that deal with it, lol (I'm a mechanical engineering student). The same classes deal with my ITB design, thus why I haven't finished it. I get the concepts, I just don't know how to apply the numbers yet...

Also, the runner lengths themselves are designed for a certain cam profile (just like intake manifolds) and since Full-Race only makes one manifold, there is no way that they can design for everyone's setup, it's more of a universal design. Also another reason why I want to design my own...

Lol, thanks buddy! The duralast was in my black 240, but this is a westco miata battery. Same difference though, haha

awe yes. but you will keep the twin scroll wit hthe one you build. that be sick as hell to desgn and build your own. seem s like if you had some welding skills it be easy.

Yes, I am going to keep the twin scroll, lol. I do have some welding skills yes, but I'll leave the welding to guys who've been doing it for 30 or so years, lol. I'll just design it, and give them the plans...

So if you turn the turbo clockwise it will hit the power stearing reservoir. Is there any way of going around that or can you just not do it that way.

You can relocate the PS reservoir somewhere else, lol

Well, here are the latest! The engine bay is completely done!!! Just gotta get the ECU situation taken care of as well as to install the Kaaz 1.5 way LSD and the one piece driveshaft. After that, it's all about breaking in the diff and clutch before going hard on it! I'll have video posted once that happens!

awe it be easy to do a few things to clean up the engine bay wiring. just disconecting a few plugs and running them under the intake manifold and stuff.

Where did you get your braided oil return line coming off your valve cover? You can see the thermal wrap I have around my rubber hose in the pic in my sig but it just isn't cuttin it. I melted it at the drag track friday night and blew oil all over my mani and smoked the track out like James Bond.LOL I just added a perma cool filter relocation kit with the big ford style filter and a 13 plate oil cooler and it raised my oil volume from 3.5-5 qts. Next project is braided lines anywhere around my turbo and mani.

I actually made them myself, lol. Just went and bought the hose and the clamps, and cut everything to fit. Did the same for my oil drain on the turbo, and will do the same for the oil catch can when I get back home (that's where the shop is that sells the lines).

What turbo you running?

BTW, your sig gives me hope! I'm planning for about 400whp or so, and I'm trying to hit low 11's. Going to be running 275/40/17 MT Drag Radials eventually, but my 8.5" wide MT ET Drag's will have to do for now, lol.
