So here's an update.

Since the last time I posted, I found an exhaust leak, a boost leak, and that my plugs needed to be re-gapped. After all that, the car pulled very hard! Then during one pull, the wastegate hose came off and it over boosted to 37psi. Only for a short second, but it did, lol. So I'm going to be going over everything tomorrow to check things over.

While reconnecting the WG hose, something happened where the EBC's wires got stripped then touched each other (wires going to the solenoid), so it fried my profec-b. So now it's slow as crap running at 9 psi...

Tomorrow I am going to go over the car to button things up/check on stuff, then I have to find a new boost controller by wednesday night for the drags. Luckily, I'm in the bay area (CA) right now, so I should be able to find something!

Well, I fixed a few things, but the most important (the tune, lol) I'm still waiting for. Hopefully I'll get it before the 18th, because that's the second to last street legal drag night in my hometown, lol. I wont have a dyno graph until spring, sorry guys Another issue I'm having is blowing out my spark under boost. I had to lower the gap to .029 for now, until my splitfire coils get here in a couple weeks!

I'm only hitting mid 12's right now with 10.2 AFR under full boost (20 psi), and that's with ****ty low to mid 2 second 60 ft's! It's embarrassing, ha ha.

I'll get it down though!

What plugs are your running? I run BKR8EIX iridiums gapped at .025. I have a JWT tune and cobra MAF with 72lbs injectors and love it. I get 11.2-11.5 afr at WOT. I have stock coils and never have a problem getting spark. I think you are just running to rich. Get your 60' down in the 1.6-1.7 range and you'll be in the 11's for sure. You do run the 26x8.5 MT Et drags right? I launch at 7000rpm with the drags and it doesn't spin at all. I honestly like the 235/60/15 drag radials better than the wrinkle walls. They're easier on the clutch and the tranny and you don't gain but maybe a .1 second on your 60' with the drags. Plus you can drive to the track on your radials.

Running the same plugs as you. My main problem is how rich I am running, lol. I used to hit 1.7 60' all day long, and that was on slicks that were so worn down there was no evidence of the wear indicators at all! ha ha. Yeah, I'm running 26x8.5x15 ET's, but I just received a set of MT 255/50/16 Drag Radials, so we'll see how they do on the 18th. My buddy has a 10.8 WS6 trans am and he hits 1.4 60' on his MT 275 drag radials. Oh, and I've been launching between 6 and 7k RPM's...

My problem is mainly my tune, but partly that I need to practice with the new setup. I've only ran two days so far...

I will be running at the end of the month with the tomie 260's and 25psi. With the cool weather I am looking to break into the low 11's on a good pass. 11.3@120+ shouldn't be out of reach. I will also be making a dyno run the first of november and I'll let you know how it goes.

So this is funny...

I junked the crappy spectre filter from autozone today, and put on an HKS filter and guess what? Now it runs too lean! ha ha, I can never win! I had to lower the boost down to 15 psi to hover around 12.0 AFR under full boost. I'll probably just park it soon until I can get a dyno tune, because I do not want to blow anything up!

You did say you had a power fc right? Tuning is easy once you figure it out.

http://paulr33.skylinesaustral...q.htm

It took me a while with a good friend or my girl friend but I got it pretty close . If all you have to do is add fuel right now than that will be real easy.

I hear that ... I am currently running a t3/t4 60 trim at 18psi and it is super laggy untill about 5000 with 272 cams, stock cams it comes in a little sooner but not much. .. I am thinking of going with a gt30. what is your opinion? fun? loss of traction? thats what I am looking for. That hard spool like a 28 has but I want to hold it up top.

Lol, I love it honestly, and I'm sure I'll love it even more when I get everything tuned up correctly! I start building boost around 3500, and hit full boost between 4k and 4200 rpm's. That's at 20 psi... As for traction... get sticky tires! haha, until I put the drag radials on, just going normally, I'd lose traction in first and second. And the top end, is where this setup really shines, lol. Between 4200 and 7500 on stock cams, it just keeps going!

Well, I reset the ecu, and bumped the base fuel pressure to 40 psi, and now @ 18 psi it is right around 12.0 AFR... so I'm going to see what it does at the track on the drag radials, lol. It pulls pretty good, but just can't tell if it's any faster, lol.

18psi is just teasing that setup. Run some 110 or CP116 for saftey and crank it up to 22-25psi. Then we will see what she's got!

I would consider this turbo. I have been hearing from several sources that it can't be beat. http://www.timsturbos.com/S256.html

Well, I ran the car last night, and as usual they didn't prep the track (I need to just race down in sac from now on!). I only managed a 1.901 60 ft on my drag radials. Ran a 12.30 @ 113.98 MPH (low trap speed, ran a 12.37 @ 117 MPH earlier in the night). This was all @ 20 psi. Wish I had cams! ha ha. My buddy in his 403whp/423wtq 03 Mustang GT ran a 12.33 @ 120 MPH with a 1.9 60 ft. That was a fun race (That's when I ran the 12.37, but tree'd him, lol)!
