I had a WAI on my 96 I30 and i noticed a great chnage in higher rpm driving but noticed a fantastic torque loss in the lower RPM range as in driving from a deadstop like a normal human being. From what i understand, popcharging it for just removing the airbox and adding a hiflow cone intake was better because it was done after the air resevoir and that allowed air to be kept in easy access for low rpm driving and supplying th air to create the torque.

I would like to have a WAI/SRI but i do not want to have the same lower RPM torque issues on this car since its 2.5S with CVT, it really dogs off the line.

You'll likely notice the same problems with your 2.5. FWIW, intakes on our cars don't seem to do a whole helluva lot other than add some really cool noise. Nissan designed the stock airboxes pretty well it would seem!

well, that makes sense, then to change would be pointless since i dont wanna deal with the same issue and pay money for it.
