i know this may be some what of a stupid question. but is there anyway for me to make my 2.5sl sedan run like a 3.5? because i know an engine swap would be just stupid. but at the same time isn't very expensive

Of course there are hundreds of ways to get more power out of your 2.5 powerplant.

Here is how I go about finding out how to do it. I would visit a local bookstore, like Barnes and Noble, and go to the magazine section. Automotive places such as Auto Zone and Advance Auto also sell high performance 'tuner' magazines.

Look for magazines that specialize in Japanese cars. Don't be distracted by the semi-clothed beautiful women on the cover of the magazine. Find one that you like; the magazine, not the woman. Buy it. Take it home and read it, and make note of all of the ads for high performance, go fast items you can buy for your car. Order the parts. Wait a few days. Install the parts. Impress your friends by imitating Vin Diesel in The Fast and the Furious movies.

Make this your motto: "I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bulls***. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free".

nice. hmmm I'm in the same situation. Im emailing a few companies asking about fitment issues between the new 07 sentra header to fit on the 07 altima. But I think the altima header is a 4-1 and the one they make for the SE-R is a 4-2-1..... anyway good luck, just search around, keep a close eye on the SE-R foroum as well. They are supposed to have a turbo kit come out for both the Spec -v and SE-R so one should fit the altima or be close to.....

I'm working on a putting together a turbo kit (on paper) for an '09 2.5...just to see what it would cost and what not. If anyone has any information about the engine, transmission, etc... it would be much appreciated. I just found a place that I can download the shop service manual, I think....

Oh, and I'm not doing this for a business or profit or anything. I'm just a guy finishing up his degree with a passion for engineering and modification/improvement. Since I can't find anything out there right now, I figured I do it until someone else comes out with it.

Adidas2go added a trans cOoler in his cvt because it overheated so make sure you factor this in at a minimum as far as trans. Upgrades....

Definitely been looking at that. The 3.5s that have the CVTs run what, 260 hp stock? I've been trying to figure out if they are the same, or if not, where the differences might lie.

Mind you, I'm still in the very early stages of this....
