Hi Nico, ive been on this site lurking for a while and i finally made a account,
Ive got a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL AWD and ive lowered it 5.5 inches on Nissan Versa Tein Lowering Springs,
Im from Long Island, New York! If you see me dont be afriad to talk!

Image
i actually love how it feels, it plants on the parkway no body roll what so EVER and the ride quality is pretty much the same,

Here are some pictures with some stock height ones
Image

Up next is wheels, looking at the 6th gen maxima wheels, 370z wheels or someting 19-20"
Give me some feedback!

i'm not sure how I feel about that...looks too low for a CUV.I like the nice factory height on the Rogue...

I have a slammed 350z track model and man i still prefer to drive the Rogue over it

i think it came way to high from factory, and the handling has improved 100 fold

i ask because as someone who raced and built race bikes i learned that suspension setup is extremely important. and in my opinion using springs designed for a 2,427lb(curb weight) car, in a 3,479lb(curb weight) car is not a good idea. the compression & rebound is all off.

i thought so too, but it rides like stock maybe a little firmer, no bounce no weird noises. i guess time will tell, but the coilovers are coming in a month

Hmm... independent rear = dat camber. I like it. Then again, I'm into the whole "stance" scene.

Kinda defeats the purpose of having an SUV if you ask me but........

I'm all for subtly lowering a vehicle if its THAT kind of vehicle... I lowered my last car, a 2006 Honda Accord EXL V6 on HFP struts/springs which brought it down about an inch and it was nice because it was still functional... But honestly, if you're scraping over speed bumps, etc, that's a little bit much. And I'd actually prefer a stock ride height with improved handling. I like knowing I can get into or out of somewhere in a pinch if I ever have to.

I know for one thing, if I'm buying an SUV over a sedan, I expect to be able to climb over some s*** if need be lol.

Don't get me wrong, it looks cool, but I wouldn't be driving it. I'd rather raise my Rogue an inch IMO.

I think it looks sharp, but driving it is a different story lol....

How do you explain to someone that you can't DD your SUV in the winter because it's too low?

Say what? You had to borrow your sister's Sentra because 3" of snow would get your SUV stuck? Lol

it is low, but its not too low that its difficult to drive. I dont have to go sideways over speedbumps or anything but thanks for the complement rdub2k4

i agree 100% with followingnfront. suvs & trucks need to be higher. otherwise all you have is a wagon. hence why the infiniti ex35 didnt sell for s***. who wants a fake suv with the same ride height of a sedan?

A Rogue is NOT an SUV. It's really not even a crossover.

Looks good lowered. As long as you dig it, and everything works as intended (or at least the tradeoffs aren't hazardous), then get down. :)

Definitely needs some wheels like the black one - Those look fantastic on that car.

Captain AZhitman; Private First Class ImStricken, if i may, Sir!?

According to Wiki: "A sport utility vehicle (SUV) is a vehicle similar to a station wagon or estate car, usually equipped with four-wheel drive for on- or off-road ability. Some SUVs include the towing capacity of a pickup truck with the passenger-carrying space of a minivan or large sedan."

Furthermore Sir, i have found in the same article: "A compact SUV is a class of smaller SUVs that are commonly built with less cargo and passenger space, and often with smaller engines resulting in better fuel economy. Some examples are: Opel Antara, Mahindra Quanto, Audi Q5, Buick Encore, Ford Escape, Jeep Compass, Honda CR-V, Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class, Range Rover Evoque, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Volvo XC60."

So you see Sir, in fact the Rogue is an SUV. Sir. Image lol

you'd need subframe, tranny, transaxle, (possibly engine), etc. its cheaper & easier to import a Quashqai

body is one thing. subframe/carrier engine/tranny/transaxle mating is a WHOLE other beast.

Unless a new super duper Versa has come out in the last few hours that I dont know about, no Versa has a 2.5 and/or a 6 speed
