1998 Altima (250,000 miles and still going strong -- original owner)

It's been a great car, but I took it in for service, they "flushed" the transmission (refilled with Nissan Matic-D). Now there is a long delay (about 5 seconds) going into drive, but only when cold. Also, when cold, the jump from Park to Drive is a rather strong jolt. Transmission works great after this first shift into Drive when cold.

Did it do that before you had the transmission oil changed? I'm not sure what transmission fluid is recommended for that year but are you sure that's what they used? If not, I'd take it back to where ever you got the work done and tell them there's a problem and it started AFTER they worked on your car .. Good Luck and sorry to hear that you're having problems. Let us know how it works out
