Ok well I, not sure if these are all related to the same problem or different I searched and visited many mechanics and spent a little too munch on this car. (I really like Nissans but this one is giving me bad impression)
I have BOTH the brake and Battery lights on steady, This started a day ago. I noticed that this car was tearing threw my battery (Changed two in a month) I went to autozone and they said the alternator, and battery was fine. BUT I have a feeling this is not true. How often can the alternator be bad? I checked the voltage with a multimeter and it drops after 15 min. of the car running. Should I rebuild it or get new?
Second....I noticed when I drive after some time specially after highways or going up/down hills the brakes get really stiff and it feels like the car is pulling. I smell a foul Oder from the front of the car and I barely go over 25 mph. Even when my foot is all the way down on the petal. I changed the calipers, brake pads, and bleed the brakes. The problem stopped after I changed the calipers but it came right back 2 weeks later.
When I put the car in reverse or park it stalls and then I hear a loud knock noise from the from of the car. When I shut it off I feel alot of heat and hear Clank noise and hear something dripping of thumps from the front of the car. OK....phew! I asked many ppl but I am trying to narrow this down. Can someone help me please?
*I am in the NYC area, anyone know any RELIABLE mechanics?*
