I’ve been seeing a lot of talk on here about how much afternoon performance parts where mad for the 90-96 Q45s and most everyone dogs on the 97-01 cars for being slow. I have a ‘99 Q that has some exhaust work done and a Weapon R cold air intake. Does any company make aftermarket performance parts for a 97-01? Who can do custom ecu tuning on them?

Been covered many times if you just search. Car is 20+ years old, even then people didn't mod them back then but a few companies like Stillen had a few goodies that have since been discontinued. Your best bet is looking on the VIP forums or Yahoo japan auctions but even then. Custom ECU would take a standalone setup.

Sorry to say that there are not very many go fast performance upgrades for these cars, hell you cannot even get a set of replacement struts/shocks from a local store they sold so few of the cars and very few people were looking for performance mods. The things you did are about the way to to go. the car isn't that fast but they are not dogs either, I always liked the nice whirl of the engine.

There may be Japanese mods for Cima out there for you, but the aftermarket support is pretty darn bad. I finally sold mine in 2019 in favor of a S550 hybrid (2016) which as much more power and torque but with my BC Coilovers the Benz doesn't corner like my Q45 did.

The best performance mods for that car are making sure it is maintained and kept serviced, so that it still performs as it did new.

I'll never understand the desire to neglect a car for 100k miles and then think bolt-ons will somehow improve it.

Grab the FSM at infinitiservicemanual.com and do ALL of the maintenance and upkeep that should have been done previously, and you'll be impressed with the car.

No ECU tuning that I'm aware of, but since you already have the intake and exhaust, it's time to replace the non-glamorous stuff.

The vh41 has plenty of aftermarket support.... In Japan. Learn japanese or invest in a translator.
