Hi guys i just bought a 1996 g20 (ob2) for cheap for my mom and im in the process in looking for either a non-lsd or lsd automatic transmission for it. Now i heard the difference is between the lsd and non lsd is that the axle i believe on the driverside is shorter on lsd transmission and longer on non lsd. I saw pictures on G20.net somewhere a while back but i cant seem to find it anymore i wanna confirm if this is the only difference. i heard all plugs are same and stuff since the only difference is the lsd inside the transmission. I'm new to the G20 world but the car seems way simpler then what im use to (i use to have 1992 q45, i now have a 1994 J30t (rebuilt it), and my current track project 1990 300zxTT) my dad has a 1998 Y33 Infiniti Q45 so yea we r a nissan family and i have done alot of hard things from swaps and rebuilds to regular maintence. so the G20 is like messing with a old sentra but i have never driven it due to me buying it with a bad transmission (the things turns on fine and runs perfect but put it in any gear it wont move lol) it has 115k on it the only reason the transmission gave out was that the person overfilled the transmission doing a flush and i believe they put the wrong fluid too lol yes i know crazy thats why i bought it cause its got so much new parts in the engine they put into it and the transmission went out lol crazy but yea someone help me out clearing this for me im still looking for the link somewhere. I have the car software for my cars and the part numbers on lsd transmission and non lsd are exactly the same until last couple digits lol so yea.
P.S does anbody got a auto transmission they might want to sell? i ask mainly because i see some people doing swaps from auto to manual. my mom already got a manual car so i bought this one for when she goes far to work and sits in traffic on her way there (she is the one who taught me manual yea i know i got a cool mom lol)
