My ride is a 96 Nissan 200sx SE-R. Currently the car is under the knife for it's second engine swap, this one to a Avenir motor from JGY customs (first was just a new N/A SR20).

Other major things done to the car are a new suspension, and a Wilwood brake kit, JGY clutch and flywheel.

Unfortunately the motor swap has hit a snag, while pulling the motor we found the radiator support is fairly rusted through, so now I'm trying to scramble to get that fixed without running out of money (fingers crossed there).

I'll post in the classifieds when I am allowed to, but I do have the old motor with 90K on it, along with some accessories for sale if anyone is interested.

Any comments on the car setup are welcome.

They're coming, Need to create a photo bucket account and I'd like to finish the swap first so I can put up the most up to date pictures I can. Just need to fix this rusted radiator support first, which is the reason I'm trying to get rid of those items. Hopefully will have pictures of the damage later today.

What are you running in your 200?

I know how that goes, my semester just started and I'm more broke then I have ever been. I had to save a long time to just get this started and now to find out it's going to cost more is killing me. You'll get there though, just gotta want it.

Yup, I'm on my 2nd semester as a freshman. It's practically impossible to get a job during these times, even part time, so I'm just trying to improvise as much as possible.

I still have the stock rims on there. It's close, little worried about catching a rock in there though the probability of that actually happening is pretty low I'd think.

First things first, the lower radiator mount is rusted out. Need to get that all taken care of first so I don't torque it to pieces. It literally was twisting when the motor was coming out.

So the motor comes out before it's trailered off to the body shop.

Taking care of the gauge cluster before it goes out to get the radiator support taken care of. The little red button is a kill switch for the top 2.

First part of the 0rder came in from JGY the same day we were loading the car onto the trailer. Also the GReddy Type-RS BoV. Got the car back the same day from body.

This is where we're at at this moment. Have to press a new bearing to get the clutch and everything in since the motor sent was originally off an AUTO which you can tell in the second picture. Also as you can see in the last picture there are three kinks in the fuel rail. Jason told me he'd take care of me though no worries :D

Ended up recirculating the RS to keep the MAF happy (not pictured). But the car runs like a champ so it's all good.

Boost is actually coming in at 9 honest ta goodness and somewhere after 7K it starts ta bounces off 10 but that's expected. Not sure if that's how an Avenier motor comes as opposed to the 7 from a U13, or if my wastegate is just bunged up. Either way I'm not really going to complain.

Thanks glad ya like the project.

No exhaust pictures yet, having some fitment problems now that the swaps done, should have waited to build it until after the swap, but I'll snap some new pics once that's taken care of, hopefully within the next few weeks (some of you wont like it but I wanted to be more original and have personally like it).

Avenir's are 9 instead of 7, so you're at stock boost. I had an Avenir turbo on my car at one point and it hovered at 9ish, occasionally spiking to 10 as well.

Perfect then I am in the norm.

Do you have an idea on approximate HP that I'm making? I'm guessing 225hp with the JWT ECU and 9psi.

Stock 9lb Avenir, 225 is probably about right, maybe a bit more because of the ECU and exhaust (3in? Turbo-back?).

Nope, LONG time saving WHILE paying for school. Leme tell you that lifestyle doesn't leave much time for fun but at least I have a good time every time I drive anywhere.

Motor is an Avenier I got from JGY. They sell them for $1900 which is a little high but if you buy more stuff price goes down.

Some people really hate JGY, you'll find countless people bashing them but for me they were nothing but helpful. They spent hours on the phone helping me with tech questions and even went so far as to give me their cellphone numbers should I need help when they weren't in the shop. Jason is also a genius when it comes to these motors and has designed and made a lot of quality parts.

Glad you like the lightshow, the ones not on a a-pillar are actually relatively inexpensive and easy to install. Tons of different color options too
