Okay, now I don't know what the deal is, but I went to clean the car lastnight for the first time, and decided to take the caps off the wheels to repaint silver. Now to my surprise there is only 4 lugs there. What gives??? Everything about this car says SE. Even when I entered the VIN into CarFax.com. I know when my Mum first got it, it was suppose to be like a '95 1/2, and did not have a lot on it it was supposed to. Like foglights, rear factory spoiler...... So, my question is:

Is this possible???

A 4 lug SE???

The alloy wheels are 15s....... :(

Can I just find some 5 lug Hubs and replace the four lug hubs all the way around???

I plan to do a brake upgrade soon. (Real Soon) I dont want to drill the rotors........ Plus I just prefer 5 lugs........

The car is NOT an SE. I also have a loaded 95 240. The ONLY things that the SE will ALWAYS have are:

> White face gauges > 5-lug alloy wheels> Front lip/rear trunk spoilers> Rear anti-sway bars

Everything else can be on either a base model or SE, but it is NOT an SE if it doesn't have all of the criteria mentioned above. Another unique feature that ONLY applies to the 95 SE, if you have ABS, then you will also have VLSD... pretty cool. In the base model you can have one or the other.. or both. But, sonce you don't have an SE, it doesn't matter.

Carfax reports can come back wrong. My car was registered and insured as an SE, and the title says SE, but only because the Honda dealer I bought it at thought it was an SE. They filed the paper work with the state, and I didn't find out it actually WASN'T an SE until afterwards. It really is easy to register your car as almost anything... and the registration is what CARFAX uses.

Yes, you can swap 5-lug assemblies into it if you wish. While you're at it, you might as well upgrade to the 300zx brakes.

Yea???? That's cool, no big deal, even though I would have loved the white gauge faces!!! LOL Mum, must have thought that she was getting the SE. The car came with front lip, as well as rear spoiler. Never the less, thanks!!!

Careful about thinking white gagues, 5 lug, rear swaybar, etc. makes your car a SE. I purchased a 97 "SE" with all that and found out later that it's only a LE. I've got no ABS or LSD. I remember reading once on the forum that you can find out by the accessory designations on the VIN plate located on the firewall if your car is a true SE.

I promise you.... on a 95 SE the options I listed previously are the ONLY criteria for an SE. All other options could be found on either model, but it isn't an SE without all five items. There is no LE for 95 in the U.S.

The ABS and VLSD are not standard equipment on ANY of the s14 models. They were available as seperate options for all of the s14 years. Except in the 95 SE.... if you have one then you have both.

If you happen to know what the designations are, then yes that should be true.
