I need to replace my front struts. I cant find a source for new struts. Does anyone know of a strut or shock absorber that can be uses as a replacement. Also is it possible to rebuild the struts? I have seen some of this on YouTube, but wanted to see if anyone has done either. Thanks in advance.

You'll probably need to bite the bullet and replace the whole setup, which isn't cheap ($1300ish in parts from BC). If you're planning on keeping the car a long time, it's the way to go.

Yeah. About $1000 for all 4. $175 shipping. 10% discount on 4 possible. Hats boots and other odds and ends if done right. $1300 seems spot on.

If just fronts are needed. About $700. Unless you find some tokicos from the 90-93 somewhere.

Would it make sense just replacing the front with what will be a totally different set? OEM is completely gone and whatever you find out there, even if unused, is far from new. At least with BC you know what you're getting. Old luxo barges ain't cheap.

OEM is not gone. They are in Japan. On a side note nicoclub has gotten really bad with the ads I see

That's actually good to know. I had no success finding any OEM parts that weren't more expensive than the BC's. I think I'm set on the suspension front for as long as I'll own this boat.

Thank you all. I tried amayama.com and got this msg. "Permanently out of stock".
I want to keep my Q. What is the reference to BC for 700$. Is that a website? JG

BCC93QT, I may need your help to find. I may be doing something wrong on the part search. That number also says perm out of stock. If you get a chance , can you try the search for me. I appreciate it. JG

The above post was for rears. This is for fronts. Read below as well

Btw I received 2 rear struts back in march I think. Right when the plague hit.

I see the notes its going to take some extra time to get to your door due to the plague. But I assure you. They are legit. I think I'm well over $10k in 20years with amayama. Unfortunately this is your only option with this vehicle. Other than coilovers

Wheres the pics????

NOTES for every G50 owner. 1990 to 1996. I am not a salesperson nor do I have any affiliation with amayama. But if you want to keep your Q... I suggest you use them

Unfortunately it doesn't seem they have a kit for a '95. Looks like '97 and up.
