Background info: I had to replace a front brake caliper on my 1995 pathfinder. Obviously after doing this, it requires the whole system to be bled. I was able to successfully bleed the front brakes which are discs, but when I tried to loosen the bleeder screw on the rear drum, it snapped in half.

I don't really have the tools or the ability to try to drill the broken screw out. Does anyone know how involved and/or difficult it is just to replace the whole brake drum?

Any suggestions on the best way to approach this problem would be helpful. Thank you.

I almost forgot about my other problem. I have 6 hex screws (uses an allen wrench) that hold my hub on. I need to replace the brake disc and in order to get to it you have to remove the hub. Unfortunately one of these stupid screws is completely stripped and tight as hell. I tried to drill it out but it doesnt even put a dent in it? Any ideas?

By the way, I have taken it to a shop for both of these problems and they said that they also didn't have the tools to fix these things. They have to be fixable, stripped nuts/bolts/screws happen all the time on old rusty cars.

Thanks again,-Pathfinder owner who hates stripped bolts

Last issue I promise -

My exhaust rusted through and fell off. Only about the last 1/3 of it. Anyone know how hard it is to deal with these exhaust hangers? When I went to rip the part off that had rusted through, it was being held on by one hanger, and I couldn't get it off without breaking the rubber hanger.

You snapped off the bleeders on rear wheel cylinders. Temp fix if you can loosen up the rear brake lines from the wheel cylinders without braking/twisting/stripping them. Loosen the line up to bleed the air out. If that doesn't work or you can get the rear lines of you are going to have to replace the rear wheel cylinders.

As for the exhaust find a local muffler shop that can take care of it. Price it out first. Most likely if it rusted off you are going to need a complete catback. If you need to get the hanger off the rubber part spray some lube on it and it should come off just fine.
