I just recently aquired a 1995 Nissan 240sx se It had been sitting for at 4 to 5 years never being cranked ran fine before it sat up for so long tried cranking it several time for one day it started ran rough for a little bit then worked fine. when I started driving it runs fine then when it gets warm it feels like it loses power.it will stall at stops and rough idle when parked and stalls sometime it only does it when it been running for awhile.. as when it has been sitting over night I can crank it in the morning and it runs like a champ for 30 to 45 minutes!! Can someone help me firgure out where to start looking? Also I just got a crankshift sensor code would this cause the problem?? Or is this just some random event that it messed up?

Welcome to Nico!!!

When it comes down to a car that has been sitting around for a while, you always want to start off with the basics. Heres what I would do:

-Full tune up consisting of plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor, fuel filter, and a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank
-Oil and filter change
-Seafoam it! Pull some seafoam through the brake booster vacuum line, pour some in the gas tank and also in the oil.

If the problem persists after doing the above, report back and hopefully we can shed some insight. Being the car has sat for so long I would definitely do what I mentioned if you haven't already!

Unfortunetly still same problem the car runs like a champ for thirty to forty minutes.. Then starts to idle rough then the engine runs rough period.. Loss of power and everything.. still needing help!!!
