Long story short my 1991 z sat for 4yrs while I was out of the country. It was in bad shape when I got it back. Replaced all the belts, changed all the fluids, and other broken parts on the engine, nothing electrical though. I turn the key and give it a little gas it starts but won't stay running unless I continue to "give it gas". Check the codes, gave me a 13,so I replaced it. Still won't stay running. The antilock light stays on, the battery light stays on. What can I check next? Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors???
Please help

Battery light on is normally a alternator either bad or a bad ground.

If it sat for 4 yrs and its a 91, chances are the injectors are bad. Either gummed up or out of spec 10-14ohms. Make sure all the connectors do not have any corrosion in them. It would be a green looking corrosion. That would have to be cleaned up in order for everything to work effectively.

You can check the fuel pressure and that will tell you if the fuel pump is working. I would definitely replace the fuel filter either way.

Go from there and let us know what comes of it. There is definitely more to check, vac leaks, MAF, throttle bodies, etc.

iacv, the iacv locate on the back of the plenum is supposed to open when the throttle shuts to allow idle air through, it's not uncommon for these to get sticky over time, take it off, clean it thoroughly and put it back on.
