So I'm about to buy a z32, and the only thing I noticed wrong was the boost gauge was all the way to the right at +14psi while idling. Also, when driving it, the vehicle didn't seem to pull boost but minimally. I've done some research and my suspicion is there is a boost leak or the turbos aren't working. Maybe one of you with more knowledge can fill me in. Thanks.

That OEM gauge is all but useless. Unless you hook up a decent after-market gauge, it's guess work on actual vacuum or boost. Sounds like the car is in safety boost because of knock sensor code (34). Pull the codes on the ECU to be sure.

^^^I agree with RED_DET. The OEM gauge cannot be trusted...

An aftermarket gauge would help you if you decide to buy it (if wired correctly). For now, I agree again with RED, check codes. It may be either in full purge, or full boost due to a stuck Blow Off Valve. It could also have a leak just about anywhere else in the system. Is it making any unusual noises? Is the BOV whistling or externally purging all the boost pressure?
