Hello i am new here and this is my first post. The other night i had a few angry people behind me. someone was kind enough to finally tell me that my brake lights were out. I found it odd since the tail lights were lit and both filaments in all my bulbs were in tact including the third brake light. This is my first Z so in knew it would be a task finding this problem before i get a ticket . long story short i found the green brake light sensor hidden where the driver side tail light is. i read a forum that said to solder pins 2 - 7 - 8 together with wire and pins 4 - 5 . I couldn't find a diagram describing what each pin does but i'm pretty sure its jumping 12 V from somewhere to the brake lights. since I didn't have an solder at the time I had an idea of wrapping the pins with stranded wire and it worked. took me 5 minutes. ill drop some pictures so you can get an idea of what i did but this should work all you really need is stranded copper wire. In the pics i did solder a little when i had the time and started to under stand how it was working. although i didn't get the third brake light to come on as well in guess its not that big of a deal. this is only a temp fix for now.
