1987 nissan hardbody w/ z24i hid headlight problems

hey guys just picked up a set of 8k hid lights for my truck driver side works fine but passenger doesnt.
ive tried switching them around the bulbs and ballests work. when i plug in my stock bulb to the passenger side it works fine.. currently driving on one hid and one halogen bulb any info would be greatly appreciated thanks guys..
