Im in South Africa and spares for my model is difficult to come by. I am looking to replace these parts:
Inner and outer tie-rods,
pitman arm,
lower control arm rubbers and bushings.

Can anyone advice on where I can get these spares from maybe locally?

On my model the drag-link does NOT have any ball-joints as part of the bar. The ball-joints are fixed to the inner tie-rod, the pitman arm and the idler arm. Therefore the drag-link only has holes for the ball-joints.

I see the more common arrangement on most 720s is vice versa (see sample photo below). I.e. the joint on both the idler arm and the pitman arm is permanent on the DRAG-LINK and not on the pitman and idler arms. I am thinking of the option to change the whole assembly to the more common arrangement. This mean replacing the drag-link complete with idler arm, pitman arm and inner tie rods? Has anyone done this and is this a workable solution?

I'm assuming that you have searched for available online parts, right? Some of the parts for these trucks are becoming hard to find almost everywhere because of the age. A lot of manufacturers are starting to discontinue making parts. If all else fails, we do have a lot of help available from a wide array of websites, but I'm not sure how the shipping would fare.
