1985 Nissan 720 Speedometer Cable

Can anyone recommend a source for a new speedometer cable for a 1985 Nissan 720 two-wheel drive, manual gearbox pickup truck? I have had no luck finding one anywhere in the Boise, Idaho area. Twice suppliers have shipped the wrong part.

I have had the same problem with my truck... the speedometer cable broke clean in half about 6inches out of the transmission... what caused this idk but we have been riding in this truck for years with out a speedo... i have just now decided to fix it....

Exact one I have, or you can lookup Beck-Arnley Part #0911706 anywhere else in case you find a better deal. If you're 4wd, look for #0911707.

did you have plenty of length on that cable dayid? I ordered one from oreillys and it was like 6 feet too short. I think they gave me the 4wd one.

Yeah, it was plently long. IDK where the 4wd reads from - but I had enough length to come from the dash through the firewall, along the top of the firewall under the hood to the passenger side, then down and back to where it plugs in on the pass side of the transmission. I don't know how you could be 6' short though, I think the whole thing is only like maybe 8-10'
