Foreword
The Paint Incident Identification Manual contains information to help you identify and diagnose paint issues. In order to achieve reliable paint diagnosis and ensure successful repairs, I encourage you to study this manual and become familiar with its contents before starting your paint inspection work. Furthermore, aside from providing identification information, this manual will answer commonly asked questions with regards to paint inspection AND paint incidents, as well as giving the warranty policy for both Infiniti and Nissan for each individual paint incident.
The photos in the manual show some examples of the various paint incidents described and are taken from various websites. I take no credit for any referenced images - they are owned by their respective right-holders.

How about posting some before and after pics??Chowcman wrote:Just got my car back. The rear quarter panel has different shade of white. Cant complaint much because metallic color is the hardest color to match.
Better than rust thru panel down the road.
Go Nissan of Edmonton North gave me a fully loaded 15 Rogue SL with Tech as loaner for 3 days. Service. I thought they would put me in a Sentra or Micra.
I love the illuminate door sill and LED headlight.
Did you guys know that the high beam is LED as well. I bet most of you dont.
Con for SL, the leather seats are too hard and BOSE sound crappy.
There has to be some misunderstanding here. Paint and Corrosion coverage on a '15 was 60 months. Your ride is too old to even have a Certified Pre-Owned warranty, and it certainly can't have any remaining OE coverage besides maybe seat belts. So why you would think your paint is warrantable, I have no idea.
There was a class action lawsuit over paint issues, for owners of pearl white Nissan Rogues produced between January 11, 2013 and April 23, 2013. And there was a proposed class action alleging 2017-present model year white Nissan vehicles have been coated with defective paint primer.sadconsumer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:07 amI have a 2015 pearl white Rogue and it has always been parked under cover. It is miticulous on the inside looks new. It is peeling/chipping/fading all over due to defective primer/trim/paint/clear coat, etc. I have emailed Nissan executives over and over again so they all not but refuse to resolve. My Rogue is still under warranty. Have any of you found an attorney or a new class action I could be a part of? I have documentation for a Nissan dealership GM stating its defective on all panels. I also have documentation/estimate from the manager of a Nissan body shop stating all panels are defective and the entire car needs to be repainted. Thank you
