I think a while back someone told me that a car would break-in at 3000 miles and the "true" break-in would be at like 6000 miles. Was that the case with older cars. So, if you break-in the g35 at 1200 miles it means that it's completely broken into? I read the manual online and says 1200 is fine, so i hope that's true.

Well this is going to be interesting topic. People going to have different opinion. I had so far in my life 4 brand new cars 2 in Canada and 2 in Europe. I tried brake in one with 4500 miles and I had so much problems it's not funny. I sold it with 80000 in(that was a Fiat). Than I had a Skoda Octavia 2000 miles brake in. No problem since I bought that. My sister drives it back at home. There is at least 120000 miles in it. I have a North American Ford Focus 2005 with 42000 in it. I did not brake it in. I was giving her from the start. I put some mods in there when it was only 3000 in it. It is running good my wife is using it right now. I bought my g35x last November I have to admit I gave her couple of times at the start. I don't think I did help you with this. Did I? I think you would be fine with 1200. But after 1200 stay away from the red line till you got to 2000(if it is possible). It is hard. I mean it. I've got 4500 in it now. I hit the red line I think too many times.

I started to redline at about 3500km's... that is what I chose as my break in. Now she get's mad at me if I do under 120km's
