Ok this is hypothetical for you and real for me. If you guys owned a stock 240SX and could have pretty much anything that a Chicagoland import tuning shop would have in stock that retails for around 100 bucks, what would it be? I was thinking maybe something like pedals, but what brand, maybe these CNC ones http://www.240sx.org/links/gro....html ?

Funny question matt. I ask my friend the same thing last night, because my girl wants to buy me something but doesn't have a whole lot of money. She said she would spend around a 100. so i was thinking perma cool 14 inch fan, or obx short shifter.

valentine one is like $400 go with an electric fan of fsm which willb e useful for KA or SR. if ur sticking with the KA an ASP pulley can be found for close to $100

$100 bucks huh.....if I were to spend it know, I would buy me a short ram intake, or maybe some accel spark plug wires.

If I could save it, I would just through it in the bank before I did anything.......

i already had the asp pulley. Sold it, and now im getting sr. I hate waiting. O well

and i already have a fsm, and a chiltons. i hope she will buy me car stuff. I bet i will end up getting some expensive sunglasses i will break, or a watch or something.

I didn't know V1's costed THAT much. I figured they were right around $100. In that case, I withdraw my opinion.

Dude a V1 with the remote display is about $460~ We got one for our truck. If i had $100 bucks right now id buy the paint i need to get Ol Red back to one colour. Or hold it so i can go to Tenn next month.

Yea I could prolly think of alot more things to do with a 100 dollars but I didnt end up getting anything. Thing is, this is just another shop in the Chicago land area - mostly honda/acura (Its called APG by the way). They had a limited selection of stuff, nothing worth anything - some okay pedals. But I went down to top speed shop and the owner is gonna give me a call soon on some stuff, saw pictures of his Skyline, looked bery bery nice. I went down there with my friend, and apparantley HE drove it around, lucky bastard. R34 modded to hell - the jealousy rages.

As for pedals, what do you guys suggest for nice grip/track usage, price don't matta.

Matt as far as apg goes, stay away.... They tend to be over priced, but can be cool sometimes. Just make sure you never ever let them work on your car. The other shops to stay away from are import shop and one 6. Last time we were at one six they had a jack and jack stands to work on cars. Not even a lift... Hah, we asked them if they had a clutch alignment tool for my friends prelude, and the guy at the counter didn't even know what it is.. Wow, i dont mean to flame them, but this is just from me and all my friends experience. Apg has broke alot of people cars. The shops to go to are, Gargae Kwai- talk to benson the ownerAms-talk to chris hes at counterSound performance- garry or larry are the owners, if they are busy talk t ivan, or dilliana-spec.You can also go to ultimate z, but the dont ever have a lot of stuff for 240's but can get just about ne thing. Ne ways, good luck and let me know if you need any more info on any of the shops. Chris

I personally would get my engine steam cleaned (not from that shop, I suppose) or at least buy some nice cleaning supplies...clay bar, nice wax, carpet cleaner, etc. I love to have my car nice and shinny.

As for the condoms... how about 2 boxes of condoms, plus some lingerie? You know, garder belt and bustier or something.

Hey bp....

I dont know the quality of the shops you are talking about, but one thing that grabbed my attention in your post, is the comment that "they dont even have a lift".

I have seen many quality shops, including the shop that is working on my car, use only jacks and jack stands.

Dont discredit shops that dont have a lift, judge them by the quality of their work.

Matt i actually live in hanover park. I live right by Carol Stream, and bloomingdale.I would never let them work on my car because they have screwed up alot of my friends cars.

Oh and about one six not having a lift. They are just a ricer store. They dont know anything about cars, and they opened like 2 stores down from garage kwai, who has been there for about 7 years.
