So for background, the first fuse blew when the car was jumped off with the cables on the wrong terminals. I successfully replaced that fuse and the car was fine however the battery light was on whenever the car was on now, then she had someone replace the battery and they hooked it up reverse polarity too and blew the new fusible link. Since then, everytime I've attempted to connect the battery fully, the link blows as soon as the negative cable is connected. I did a bunch of researching and it seems like it could be a short somewhere in the alternator connection but those wires LOOK fine. I noticed that if I take off alternator charging cable, the car even starts/drives successfully (5 mile test drive). Is the alternator itself shorted/blown? Is there a way to wire it to still charge the vehicle without that cable being connected (stupid question maybe, but I'm just trying to make it to AutoZone without it dying on me from not charging). Also, does anyone know where to find the pin out diagram for the IPDM of this car? Everything I see online only shows the fuse positions and uses, I need the use of the connectors circled. Someone has a similar issue and turned out to be a battery current sensor and a blue wire they had to snip, but I can't find out which wire it is.

That "blue wire" stuff is to remedy undercharging caused by the current sensor. Your '10 doesn't even have that, so that isn't your problem. You can't fix a dead short in the stator, and if it's blowing the main fusible link, that's what you do have. The reverse hookup probably melted one or more of the internal connections. That alternator is zapped, replace it.
