Depends on what kind of sub, and how much wattage you will be running. IMO, 2 10"s will be better as it will produce a louder sound with a lower wattage. What I mean by that is, 2 10" subs on a 1000 watt 2 channel amp will be louder then a single 10" sub connected to a 1000 watt amp as more air is being pushed, and therefore, more sound.

Just depends on what kind of sound you're looking for.

+3db for doubling the cone area.

Subs need less space nowadays that having two is relatively easy. The Kinker C10a I have requires 1.25cf sealed which makes having two tough.

I have two 10's and I'm very happy. I was concerned about if it would be loud enough...I had 2 12s in my last car...but 2 high quality 10's pushed by some power will sound just as loud.

Thanks everyone. I've made my choice and decided to go with 2 10's. Once I have everything done, i'll be posting pics. One more thing, the box with the 2 tens, should the subs share the airspace in one big box. OR should there be a divider in the box that separates both subs?

A divider will only decrease total air volume...not necessary. A good sealed enclosure is your best bet (vented need to have more air volume).

Divider is not needed as long as you have enough bracing to keep the box from flexing. Go ahead and put in a divider but open some large holes in it.

Hey, So everything is ordered and just waiting for the box. I got the 1-10' box from zenclosure.com, with the JL 10W6V2 and JL 500.1 amp. Hope this sounds good. I'll be posting pix of my car very soon.

Get the single box and run a pair of subs Isobaric. You'll be very happy.
