I finally ran my car at the track and was dissapointed with my 15.4, it was my fastest time. I only have the 3.0 with a few bolt on's and an auto tranny. Does this sound correct?

before i got my fuel system i ran my KA24E-T. I launched easy because i had a stock clutch at the time. Not bad for 2psi on a t25 with smic....yes 2psi. I was untuned on a fmu and didnt want to blow it up.

R/T-slow60'-2.5 slow1/4- 15.1@93

Now i have a fuel system and am in the process of tuning for 7psi. Looking for a mid 13 with a good launch.

right now by looking at your MPH, ET and 60 foot. unless your on drag radials, you can forget about 13s at all. the most you will do is a 14.0-14.2

hey whats up guys I myself just recently before the season was over went to the track and tested my car with drag radials. Motor SR20DET with stock turbo T25 on 18lbs, I still after warming up the tires, spun 1st and partial 2nd gear. I managed to come up victorious with

R/T .680 r/t not good 60' 2.1151/8 9.033MPH 80.371/4 13.911MPH 101.47This was my first time in a 1/4 track so I think i'll be better prepared next time.

no offence, you need help man, TURN THE BOOST DOWN! your gonna chunk the turbo and its gonna fly into the motor and explode the motor... your WAY PAST its efficency range. Just becaus eyou have a turbo, doesnt mean you can put it to 20psi.

Naaa I've been running that for a while and its only 18psi on the stock T25. Thank GOD I got a 3row intercooler. You think 18 is too much for the T25??

18 is WAY too much, the MAX you should run is 14psi... those turbos are NOT designed for that, once you pass 14psi, youll gain tiny bits of power, but your heatsoaking the motor, EVEN WITH a HUGE fmic, and overworking the turbo, wearing out the bearings and seals, and risking SERIOUS engine damage. drop it down and you will run faster

ive been 13.5 on street tires at 12psi before... with a 2.2 60 foot... its not hard at all man.. not hard at all

I have a stock Redtop S13 SR20DET with VLSD, exhaust, FMIC, and a boost controller. I raced an 06 Shelby GT500 a couple days ago, here's the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLT2tdrtX6A

Timeslips were

GT500:13.63308 @ 106.56 MPH with a 2.441 60 Foot

My Stock SR20DET (well, it has exhaust and intake mods, but stock turbo and everything else):13.26055 @ 102.58 with a 1.901 60 Foot.

My Best Time of the night was a 13.17554 @ 102.48 with a 1.812 60 Foot!

What kind of improvement can be made from going from an open diff to a vlsd with 60 foot? Also, with an open diff and drag radials what kind of 60 foot are possible?

congrats!

That's the best 60 ft in this thread.

I'm really curious to know what it takes to better a 1.6 sec 60 ft with the 240sx?

Is anybody doing it with any consitency that is still running the irs?

I cut 1.6 60' consistantly with 26x8.5 MT drags. My best is a 1.55 and I run 7.6 1/8ths all day long. If you start trying to breaking 1.5 60' with a stock SR/KA tranny you will break it. Trust me, I ripped every tooth off of 2nd gear in a SR tranny. 400whp is the limit of the tranny, but the IRS is good for 700+.

HOLY OLD a** THREAD!
I STILL WANT TO CONTRIBUTE ANYWAYS
I have a Bone stock 95 s14 , stock 4 lug steelies on 195/??/15's, stock suspension with 2 dead struts in the back, automatic ka24de. Still has a/c , power steering hooked up, sunroof, abs, LSD, stock gear. There is not one single thing aftermarket on the car. Still stock exhaust, functional catalytic converter, etc. Stock tune.
Only removed air filter and spare tire and spare tire cover for these runs. Going to take some more weight out next week and see how she'll do. I hope to run 9.99 then I can start getting rims and carbon hood and all that fancy stuff.

Removed air filter and spare tire and spare tire cover and ran (-30lbs)

10.44 @ 67.14 mph (one eighth mile) 1/8
2.39 60'

Which ROUGHLY equates to ( going by an online conversion thing)
16.27 @ 83.25mph

Car weighs 3040lbs with me in it
