09 BOSE display text not scrolling

My post disappeared for some reason (at least I couldn't find it) so here it is again:

I have a 09 with the BOSE audio system, according to the manual when the display test is longer than the width of the display window you can press the "DISP" button for longer than 1.5 seconds and then the text will scroll to the end.No matter how long I press that button the text does not scroll, any ideas?Thanks

Dealership was not able to help. I don't have manuals on me.

If the text information is to long to fully be displayedon the screen; press and hold the DISPbutton for longer than 1.5 seconds to scrollthrough the rest of the text

that is a copy from the manual. Sounds like we have all tried it to no avail.

Must be an option bose forgot to program!?
