All- getting ready for a few performance mods, including an oil cooler to keep me from overheating on track days- there's not a whole lot of opening for air in the front bumper cover. A chunk of it already has the PS/AT stock fluid cooler in front of the radiator. Thinking about knocking/cutting out what I'm calling the "inlets" on either side of the air opening- they're blocked solid, with some plastic meshing to make it look nicer. Radiator doesn't make it out that far, but the more the merrier- anybody else try this?

Thanks!

They have to be cut out because they are molded with the bumper cover. Inside view:

Nice- thanks!

Wondering what it would look like after it was cut out... anybody? Guess I could always glue gun it back in.

IMO, it will look fine, but the problem you will have on the passenger side is the HUGE white washer reservoir behind the duct opening. The only place you will have room for an oil cooler is in front of the radiator.

Here is a pic of mine with the drivers side cut out to accomodate the ICC sensor:

Thanks! Beautiful setup, btw. How much drop are you running?

Putting together my own cooler system- what size cooler were you able to fit in there?

My car is lowered on Eibach springs.

I actually have an intercooler for the twin turbos and a transmission cooler in mine. The trans cooler is roughly 9" x 11" and sits centered in the grill opening on top of the intercooler. There is still more room for a similar sized oil cooler as well.
