08 SE crazy problem

After traveling several miles on vacation this weekend my 08 maxima started giving a crazy issue. I exited the freeway and came to a stop. When I took off I heard a pop in the engine compartment and the engine fell on its face. The car Will rev up to 1500 rpm and not move then it will finally take off. Doesn't seem to have same amount of power. Ive replaced maf but problem still persist. Tran fluid looks good and ive ran injector cleaner also. Nothing helps. It only happens if I come to complete stop. Car has 85k. Can't tell if this is a transmission issue or engine. No codes are present. The popping is only 50% off the time but the stalling is all the time

Could be the transmission valve body or the entire transmission itself is failing. Have it diagnosed at the dealership or reputable transmission shop.

I'm leaning toward a cvt issue. Just hard to tell if the engine is stalling or transmission is slipping
