'07 Versa SL Hatchback Overhead Console Removal

Does anyone know how to remove/replace the overhead console in a 2007 Versa SL Hatchback without sunroof? I removed the map light lenses and the map light assembly. A previous post indicated that there were screws holding it in place in the '08 model, but I cannot find any screws or retainers to separate the console from the headliner. There appears to be a center support pillar that attaches to the roof with velcro, but after loosening the velcro the console is still attached to the headliner. I just want to replace the cracked sunglass holder without destroying the rest of the interior.
