07 G35X wheels and tire upgrade???

Anybody upgrade their wheels and tires on their G35X?

I have been looking at wheels and tires for my wifes 07 G35X. I want to get a set of 18 or 19 inch wheels for the summer time and keep the 17 inch wheels for winter use. The stock tires are 225-55-17.

I was told by tire sellers that you cannot use staggered wheels due to the all-wheel drive system. Ok, so I need the same setup all the way around. I looked at 225-50-18 tires but there only seems to be 1 manufacturer of this size tire. So 245-40-19 tires look like they will be the pick, but will the front of the car accept the 245 tire? Any idea on the wheel offset needed?

245/45/18's are near perfect size, and widely available.

45mm offset will be fine up to 8.5" wide wheel

Ok, I will start looking for an 18 inch package! I was having second thoughts about a 19 inch package due to the potholes thoughout New England!

225-55-17 = 26.74 inches245-45-18 = 26.68 inches245-40-19 = 26.72 inches

Just hope the 245 doesn't rub in the front while turning into parking spots, etc. Should the offset be the same front and back?

hi i have nice 18"s for sale. purchased them last year from town fair tire for $1999. i have brand new toyo proxes fz4 on them.

they are 5 lug universal.





trying to get $950 for them.

seeing that you from mass if you interested i can meet you half way so wouldnt have to pay for shipping.
