Does anyone know how to disable (not disarm) the factory alarm system on an 06 Maxima? I have looked at the wiring diagram and there does not appear to be a single fuse or module that could be unplugged. Alarm goes off randomly and for no reason, then resets and will go off again in 15 minutes or 6 hours or sometime in between. Have tried all the "disarm" recommendations but doesn't seem to help which makes me think it isn't a simple problem. It's as though someone is standing outside my house at 2AM pushing the PANIC button on the keyfob. The wiring diagram shows a multitude of door sensors, trunk sensors and modules that could be a problem or a loose/broken wire. The point is, I have zero concern with my Maxima being stolen or entered and would simply like to disable the security completely. Any ideas? Thanks! :)

The alarm system will only sound if it was in ARMED state and a door/trunk/hood is opened w/o key or keyfob. To prevent the alarm from arming, you can disable one of the sensors. You can dismount the hood sensor (usually located in front, driver side) then secure it w/ a tape or tie-wrap to prevent it from bouncing around. This simulates hood being open thus preventing the alarm system from arming when you close and lock the doors. I hope it works for you.

But if I were you, I would first check/clean and re-secure the door sensors Then check the hood/trunk sensor if it's properly actuated when the respective hood/trunk is closed. Adjust as required.
