I just purchased a 05 G35X for $700 from a mechanic friend. The front driveshaft came loose and put a small hole in the bell housing. Will the car run fine without the front driveshaft? The car has 174k but is in pretty good shape. They mechanic I bought it from got it from someone who was just going to take it to the scrap yard but he didn't want to scrap it because of how good it drove. I couldn't pass it up for $700. Any help and input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I hope this worked out for you. Without the front propeller shaft assembly, I don't see how you would stop up the transfer case where the shaft flange engages and seals in the transfer case fluid.
